Ceramic vases
Jstar Design has a large collection of ceramic vases and ceramic pots from different factories. Ceramic is a material which neither is a metal or a polymer. Ceramics can be described as a material which is formed by heating and sometimes also pressure, whereby at least two elements are present. One of them is non-metallic and the other may be either metallic and non-metallic.
The word comes from the Greek Keramos, which means drinking vessel or pottery. It is mainly used to designate items that are made from baked clay. Traditional ceramics are therefore clay (or silicates) based. Of these, there are many and they are made of various kinds of clay, various kinds of additives and processes. For technical ceramics are also other elements. They are used for various mechanical applications.
